Artist Monday: Akira Ifukube
One of the Four Fathers of the Godzilla Franchise, Ifukube is remembered for his illustrious film scores and powerful music. He is known as one of Japan's finest composers and his piece from Godzilla vs Destroyah titled Requiem still makes me weep... RIP Ifukube-san.

Monday Artist: Akira Toriyama
Yeah, this guy made Dragon Ball Z. Deal with it. Though not many people think much of this series, this series created by Akira Toriyama got me into drawing.

Artist Monday: Nick Roche
This guy is a very bad man!... Okay that may be stretching it... He did the art for Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers, the one comic that put Transformers back on the comic book map. It is dark, gritty, and depressing. His artwork turns the Transformers kids show persona into a Tarantino film. Murder, swearing, sadness, and energon blood spewing everywhere. I love this mans work... even though he killed off Rotorstorm, Pyro, Ironfist, Twin Twist, and Top Spin. Oh... spoilers.

Artist Monday: Bryan Lee O'Malley
Bryan Lee O'Malley wrote and drew the comic Scott Pilgrim. In my opinion this is a great comic, possibly the greatest I have ever read. This man is awesome and inspired me to move to Toronto in the future.

Artist Monday: Quentin Tarantino
This man is another example of a director and an artist. His work is utterly astounding. Though his work isn't as legendary as Kurosawa, his work is still mind boggling. He is yet another legend.

Artist Monday: Akira Kurosawa
Akira Kurosawa is one of my greatest inspirations. Though he is a film writer and director, how he films movies makes an extremely emotional atmosphere to go along with the emotional storytelling. The characters he creates are also extremely strong, you end up feeling true emotion to the characters he creates like Kikuchyo from Seven Samurai. He made hundreds of movies until his death in the 90's. His work also spawned a strong friendship between George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Kurosawa's images and films are legendary.
